We have now in stock approximately 35,000 books in Canterbury Tales Bookshop, and we are constantly buying in books from all over to upgrade our stock.
As you enter the Bookshop on the left wall you will find the A to Z of Fiction Authors.
Ever popular books by Jeffrey Archer such as A Prisoner of Birth, onto Baldacci, Bryson, Cornwall, all the way to Welsh, White & Zephaniah.
In front of the Reception area are all the Autobiographies, Human Interest, Sport, True crime, Politics, Biograhies, Asia History, War, Lonely Planet & other travel books.
Towards the back of the bookshop on the right we have a whole section now devoted to Lady Authors.
We have a large section with German, French, Dutch, & Scandinavian books, and right at the back are the large Hardback and paperbacks of Fiction, often the newest releases as they first get published in this large format, often retailing at 30$+ and on our shelves for a small fraction of that.
We have 100's of the popular Thai related books such as Private Dancer signed by Stephen Leather, Money number one, Fool in Paradise, all the popular and not so common Thai stories at lower prices than the major high street book stores.
We also offer a wish list and postal service throughout Thailand, if you are looking for a particular book/s, we may have it, if not we will search all of our resourses and if we have it or can find it I will save it or post it onto you.
We recently did a survey of many of our book customers and asked them how we compare to the other Bookshops who offer the same service as we do in Pattaya City.
We were pleased with the response as most said we had the best choice on the shelves in most departments, also everytime they came in they would find new stock and usually more than their needs, the prices were 20/25% lower than all our competitors and they enjoyed the coffee/bookshop atmosphere.
Also liked the situation where they could sit with a Coffee/Tea or cold drink and read some of the book to see if it grabbed their interest before buying it.
The main praise was for the 50% refund idea where we offer 50% trade in on all books purchased in the shop in credit off the next book/s as well as we offer the best price for books bought in from anywhere else and will trade in books from other Bookshops.

We recently in June 2010 took stock of another 1,500 used books in very good condition and so many of the popular Authors and many have already gone out and have been brought back and exchanged.

I managed to obtain a few of the sought after Raconteur's Pattaya tales by Geoffrey franklin, retails for 450 baht, our price 200 baht.
